Pip’s Picnic Surprise
Pip the squirrel woke up early, excited for his special picnic day.
He carefully packed a tiny basket with roasted acorns, fresh berries, and a thick slice of honey cake he had saved from yesterday.
The sun was warm, and a light breeze swayed the branches as he skipped through the meadow looking for the perfect spot.
At last, Pip found a sunny patch under the tall oak tree by the stream.
He spread out his little blanket and set his basket down.
A small bluebird landed on the edge of the blanket and tilted her head.
“Is that cake I smell?” she chirped.
Pip laughed and broke the slice in half.
They shared the meal together, listening to the bubbling stream and the soft rustle of leaves above them.
Pip thought to himself, The best part of a picnic is sharing it with a friend.
