One sunny afternoon, Gabby the dog was coloring her favorite picture — a big rainbow over her backyard!
She had all her crayons lined up in a neat little row: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and… oh no!
“Where’s my purple crayon?” Gabby barked.
She peeked under the table — no crayon.
She checked behind her coloring book — still nothing!
Just then, her bird friend Bell fluttered by with a tiny purple crayon in her beak.
“Bell! You found it!” Gabby wagged her tail.
Bell chirped, “I borrowed it to draw your waggy tail!”
Gabby giggled. “Next time, just ask!”
Together they finished the rainbow — and added a shiny gold star on top.
And from that day on, they shared their crayons and their smiles.
