It was a sunny day, and Lisa, Bell, and Tibbs were headed to the park with one mission: find the ice cream truck!
They searched near the swings.
They peeked by the picnic tables.
They even asked a squirrel (who only wanted their crackers).
Then—ding-a-ling-ling!
The music played from around the corner.
“There it is!” shouted Bell.
The trio ran toward the truck. It was big, blue, and had a giant cone on top that spun like a merry-go-round. A friendly dog in a paper hat leaned out the window.
“Welcome to Frosty Paws!” he barked. “What’ll it be?”
Lisa got a rainbow swirl cone with extra sprinkles.
Bell chose a lemon-lime pop that dripped down her feathers.
Tibbs picked a simple chocolate cup—he licked it very slowly and carefully.
They sat under a shady tree and enjoyed every bite, giggling at the drips on their noses.
Then they played tag until the sun got sleepy.
“Best day ever,” said Lisa.
“Tomorrow, we find the lemonade stand!” said Bell.
Tibbs just smiled. His paws were still sticky.
