Mila loved walking through the sunny forest behind her house. Every day, she carried a little basket to collect smooth stones, tiny flowers, and anything special she found along the way.
One bright morning, while humming a happy tune, Mila noticed something fluffy sitting in the grass.
It was a fox—a small, gentle-looking fox with bright eyes and a soft, bushy tail curled neatly around its paws.
Instead of running away, the fox tilted its head and looked at her curiously.
“Hello there,” Mila said softly, holding out her hand. “I’m Mila. Would you like a flower?”
She reached into her basket and gently placed a tiny daisy on the ground.
The fox sniffed it, gave a tiny fox smile, and sat down as if to say, Thank you.
For a few quiet moments, girl and fox simply looked at each other, warm sunlight falling all around them. Mila felt like she had made a brand-new friend.
From that day on, whenever Mila walked through the forest, she always brought an extra flower—just in case her fox friend wanted to come say hello again.
